I'm a freelance journalist based in Madrid, Spain and my work regularly appears in Turkey's Anadolu Agency and El Pais English.
I'm from Canada but I've called Spain my home for six years. I speak and understand Spanish at a bilingual level and am beginning to learn Portuguese.
I also have experience reporting abroad. I interned at The Hindu newspaper in Chennai, India and at the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation)'s London bureau.
I've also covered local news for The StarPhoenix, the main daily in my hometown of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Beyond that, my work has appeared in Guernica Magazine, Canada's Postmedia Network, Embassy Magazine, Canadian Dimension, and more.
Beyond straight journalism, I've written for trade publications, edited the English version of FITUR Daily, IE University's blog, a big-data startup and much more.
I have a double major degree in journalism and history from Carleton University (Canada's top journalism program). I expect to complete my master's degree in translation for Menendez Pelayo International University in Spring 2017.
